Yes, you heard us right, we’re inviting you to get crabby with us for the entire month of February; but don’t worry, we won’t judge you for it.
We’re celebrating the sandies, blue swimmers or Ovalipes Australiensis – whatever you want to call them – with the return of the Feast of the Crab.
Now when it comes to eating crab, there are three rules:
- Find a suitable location
- Dress appropriately
- Eat crab!
Whether you crack it, smash it, or delicately pick at it, just prepare for things to get messy… but delicious!
Lovers of pasta, rejoice in the Linguini al Granchio – local sand crab with hand cut linguini, cherry tomatoes, basil and chilli, or claw into the Granchio Arrosta – whole butter roasted spanner crab with garlic and herbs.
Unapologetically messy, the crabs are available in kilo or half kilo plates from $32 or $62 respectively and the whole spanner crab for $34.
