2013 Agricole Vallone Tenuta Serranova Fiano
So is Fiano the new black? I’m calling it now. Big yes.
It crops naturally low and has loads of weight and intensity without becoming over extracted and bitter. Add to that an easy to remember aroma profile of lemon, lanolin and mineral (whatever that is). It’s a bit like chardonnay for simple people. Hold the pear, peach, brioche, toast, butterscotch and cream and bingo. Fiano.
We’ve just put on the Agricole and it’s a ripper.
